After a few month's preparation DBT Chat Bot is ready to... chat. The basics are on there, setting SMART goals, taking the first actions towards goals with GROW, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal skills and problem solving.
I've used it a fair few times with real life personal issues and found it really useful and I hope you do too.
Over the next few months I'll be hoping to add more skills, such as IMPROVE, thought challenging, willing hands and half-smile. Also I'll try to ensure DBT Chat Bot repeats itself less and add in some more useful links, like links to useful mindfulness YouTube videos etc.
Over time I'm hoping to make DBT Chat Bot more intelligent, so that it can spot unhelpful thinking styles, and to add in an ability to help us take daily inventory. I may even be able to give it a human sounding voice.
For this I need your help.
Please try it out on Facebook Messenger!
Then drop me an email at Feedback.DBT.CHAT@gmail.com
Let me know how your chat went. Was it useful? Was it glitchy? Were there spelling mistakes or typos? Did you get stuck in a loop? Did it make sense? Have I misunderstood a DBT skill? (let's hope not!) How could it be improved? (and I'm sure it can be). What would you like DBT Chat Bot to be able to do?
If you've found any other DBT resources online, or books / downloads please let me know so I can add more links into DBT Chat Bot.
Tell other people you know about DBT Chat Bot.
But most of all use DBT Chat Bot whenever you need a bit of guidance to stay skilful.
